Apparently you have difficulty understanding how more than one thing can be true at the same time.

This is also a true statement:

"AQ existed and it was both a lose knit association of radical groups and an organization headed by OBL. That hasn't changed much. It didn't exist in Iraq as a strong hold that would represent a battle front to the USA until after our invasion in Iraq ... which Bush has taken responsibility for.

It has been the right wing idea to draw them out in this way. The left wing counter argument has been that we should go after them where they are. The left wing approach has not been operationalized yet."

This is also a true statement:

"And we'll continue to take the fight to the enemy. That's why we're fighting them in Iraq, and we're not fighting them here at home. We're fighting them in Iraq so that we can defeat them abroad, so we don't have to fight them here at home."

And this is a true statement:

"We didn't invade Iraq, so that we could fight them (Al-Qaeda) there instead of here. We invaded Iraq to defeat the regime of Saddam."

This is a true statement:

Al-Qaeda isn't in Iraq just to fight Americans anymore than they are in Afghanistan and elsewhere just to fight Americans.

And this is true:

We would rather deal with them on those battle fronts than ignore them there, knowing that if they are successful there they have a stated mission to destroy us here.

What part of that do you find ignoble, or contradictory?
