Danish women are all on the pill and smoke like chimneys. And of course they drink no less than their thirsty male peers with whisky being the drink of choice unless you can't afford it.
No wonder they have one of the highest mortality levels of European women.
Add to that the Danish "best-in-the-world" health insurance and -care system, where average waiting time for serious examination of that lump in your breast is up to 9 months+ right now.
More waiting to follow for that operation if needed.
Of course, those who can afford it and are not too stingy can always have things taken care of instantly at one of the private hospitals against cash.

Sweden is doing a lot better, my daughter in law, a medical doctor at the university hospital of Lund, told me. While waiting time to see a specialist used to be 9 months that is now down to 6 months only by law.
Add to that another 6 months before you get under the knife if something needs to be cut out.
