Maybe it would actually make sense to let France generate electricity for Germany, since they are so good at it, and let Germany concentrate on something that makes them happy.

Anti-nuke sentiment is from Green Party influence.

What is amazing is that there is a non-weaponable, melt-down proof nuclear energy solution based on a fuel more common and abundant than Uranium...and it goes begging.

Either there is more intentional ignorance than is healthy for the planet, or more likely, the weapons producing nations and the Uranium industry really don't want there to be a safe, parallel, nuclear power industry.
