We've always known the bastards were crazy, but we felt isolated.

"Interesting question would be why it's been ignored for many, many administrations of both parties."

I'm mostly only concerned about why we let them off the hook AFTER 9-11 when we had them on the ropes, (the 'Airlift of Evil' allowing the escape of the ISI/Taliban/al Qaeda leadership back to safety in Pakistan from their encirclement at Kunduz in Afghanistan, etc.)

I already *know* why we supported (with Pakistan and the Saudis...) the Mujahadeen in Afghanistan against the Soviets (during the Carter & Reagan/Bush years).

But, WHY all references to the SAUDI role in terrorism and 9-11 were blacked-out of the 9-11 Commission's report --- I guess we'll have to wait on history to answer that one. (But I doubt many of us alive today will still be around by the time those files are unsealed.)
