Petz, seti - Or a docking station, like my wife has used at work for years that allows the full-size keyboard, etc., as well as the full-sized monitor?

External monitor is fine if the notebook has DVI and a sufficiently capable graphics card to drive a 24"WFP monitor and yet doesn't kill the battery when only driving the internal monitor.

I haven't seen that in a notebook yet but I'm sure it will happen sometime.

What I don't get is with all the cost of a battery why they can't keep it from cooking when on the charger for a extended period. Seems like the charging circuit should be smart enough not to do that.
