Taken from an interview with Lou Dobbs on April 6, 2006. This was his final comment on the illegal subject they were discussing which focused on the overall problem of "undocumented" illegals. So what you do is create a legalization plan that might eventually lead over 11 years to permanent residency, possibly eventual citizenship, based on behavior. You have to be practical. It's a messy situation, but we've got to act because this is America. And we've got to do the right thing." In the interview, he discussed the border issue without saying about building the wall which was interesting to me.
