I'll be back Sunday night for a little smackdown...

Dear Slider,

I have been a long time lurker on SI and just signed up for a free trial to write a message, for I don't really have any experience in the markets and wouldn;t have any value to add at this juncture.

Would you give me your thoughts on what happened to IPSU? I bought a lot of it (a lot to me, probably not to anyone here) days after you recommended it and have not done well in it at all. Perhaps because the stock market has brought almost everything down? It was my third buy in a stock. Do you have any others besides IPSU that might do well going forward? I almost bought Mr. Merks recommendation of silver (Wheaton), but that has not done well either. Is it too late to short anything? I have never shorted a stock, but will try it if it is a decent risk/reward. Hoping to do better than my 4.6% savings account annually. Only using money I can lose, until I feel comfortable in the stock market a few years down the road.

Thank you,

Sandy
