You're right about the "View". And I did see your post on PfP where Dale & company lambasted Lindybill's thread. Typical lowbrow stuff replete with baseless smarmy smears & slanders that comport to thier world view. Like you I visit the "View" from time to time because they really do believe they are "moderates" & "centrists". And they really do believe that we are a rabid bunch of fringe RWE's. And they really do believe all the left wing Talking Points they parrot are rock solid fact long after they have been thoroughly discredited. And they are oblivious to their groupthink cocoons, their hypocrisy, their calumny, their slanders & their smears. And I know from personal experience that by & large, folks on most of the conservative threads on SI really do look at credible evidence from reliable sources when forming our POV's. And though we are far from perfect, we are far more likely to accept facts that run counter to our POV rather than ignore them. And we are far less likely to attack & ridicule the messenger. And we are far more likely to police our own when they exhibit any inappropriate behavior. Any objective analysis of the posting histories here on SI will substantiate all of the above. It really scares me to think that here in the internet age where there is speedy access to so much information, where everyone can easily review the written record, yet there can exist so vast a gulf of diametrically opposed views.
