What, me worry? ... if we're running the twentieth anniversary of '87, the crash will come the third week of october if memory serves, so i'll be out by end of the second week and have bids in place -g- ... there was skittishness that summer, also summer of '29 they say ... and in the juniors, in every summer i ever saw, to some degree

Today was gold options expiration, that may have been part of the PoG movement ... asian markets way down tonight, but do they lead or follow? ... the latter mostly, imho ... notwithstanding all above, i'm agnostic on whether we get a serious crash soon, leaning to not, but you never can tell ... just got to stay ready for all eventualities, like the boy scouts say, 'be prepared'

Unclesambuck up to 1.0585 canuckadoodle, aargh, shoulda covered my short on it against Metalline in the usd accounts ... that's a two-cent move both ways in about four days, wild

This is not going to be a walk in the park. I'm usually not appreciated when I suggest that America is finished as a world power, something I've said for a few years and the reason I only own PM stocks and occasional energy plays and most of all physical gold and silver as a vote against the USD and what it stands for in this world.

Here is where this so called capitalism brings the system down...not just foreclosures but hey......is Michael Moore a GENIUS or what? as he has been working on this movie about the horrible inhumane attitude of the capitalists who run the drug companies and the managed care and health insurance companies and he has been filming for 2 years......everyone knew that MM would single handedly bring down the government and the HMO's and this is what is bringing everything to a boil.....yes I'm not worried, I actually rejoice when I see these capitalists getting their just due, now if we can just empty the prisons of the pot smokers and shoplifters and throw every stinking capitalist in jail in their place then maybe there would be some hope???

Analysts Say Mortgage Woes May Worsen

Lenders' Prime Mortgage Woes Are a Sign of Even Bigger Problems to Come, Analysts Say

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Here's a scary thought about the latest bad news on housing: A surprising increase in late loan payments and defaults among home owners with good credit is so far coming from traditional woes, like divorces, job losses and unexpected medical bills.

The next and biggest wave of problem loans could come as monthly payments soar for both prime and subprime borrowers who took out adjustable-rate loans with little or no documentation, or who used so-called piggyback loans on top of their first mortgages to make up for small down payments, analysts said.

These exotic loans were the only way many borrowers _ even those with good incomes and sterling credit histories _ could afford to get into the housing market as home prices soared in the last decade. But now those decisions are looking suspect.

That was one of the messages that sent a jolt through the mortgage industry and the stock market on Tuesday after Countrywide Financial Corp. reported its second-quarter profit shrank by nearly a third as softening home prices led to rising delinquencies and mortgage defaults.
