This is a shining example of fear based thinking. The entire population of Iraq is crawling with guns. Almost every household has arms at its disposal. The population is full of men who fought in the Iraq/Iran war. It has a long history of armed conflict. There are tens of millions of Iraqis who haven't been able to flee or haven't wanted to flee the country. Guess they must have all liked Saddam, then, since they never fought him off. You claim I'm detached, why don't you read some reports from the ground? Kurdistan is quiet, the Shia south is quiet, Anbar has rejected AQI, the fighting is centered in Baghdad and Diyala. The news reports make it sound like that's the whole country.
