Well, it seems the communists made out real well in Vietnam.

Wars that have paid for themselves? Nope, I don't see any of the wars America has fought that have paid for themselves with the lone exception of WW II. I would say Korea too but then we have had troops there for over 50 years. That has to have cost a small fortune over the years. Now, of course, wealthy industrialists have profited from these wars but they usually keep the money for themselves; that is, the money above any taxes they might pay. Its the American way! ;-)
