More weight should be given to market volume (look at weekly charts) which has been rising into this decline.

Until volume starts to weaken as this sell off unfolds you should not expect a lasting rally.

There is plenty of pessimism but the market is at further risk now until the sellers are out of the way.

The Hindenburg Omen works because it shows that market internals were weakening even as the market was hitting new highs.

New highs with fewer and fewer stocks participating. I can see numerous indicators suggesting an oversold market and more than enough pessimism for a rally but the market will do what it will do.

Look at the BP Indices are they at traditionally oversold levels?

Not even close so things could conceivably get much worse. Will the BPNDX and other BP Indices trade back to long term market bottom levels?

They probably won't but who knows?
