My girlfriend got a job in Canberra and so we are going to move back there together. This seemed the best deal where she had career opportunities and we could live together. FInal steps of getting the green card also were very irritating (another 5 years after that to apply to be a citizen and GF would have to go through the same long path). So I'm going to quit my job here (even though I'm tenured). Going to try to make money from trading and if that doesn't work out probably get a job in the Australian federal government or something. I dumped the original girlfriend I came here for. In March I was in Tampa. GF has a friend (also from China) who lives there. She is desperate to stay in the US. Anyway it just feels the right thing to do. We're flying out on September 13th.
