Excellent point.

The US has been a huge beneficiary of China's development, second only to China itself.

China gives Russia something to really worry about. Happy dreams Vladimir, and try not to think about Genghis Khan or Attila ;-)

The profits made by using China sourced parts have been enormous, and a real competitive advantage against Europe and Japan.

China's consumption of metals has helped mining companies, which are often US or at least based in Anglo-Saxon nations - Canada, Australia, UK, and US. The US & friends has lost control of world oil, but they still have a hold on metals.

Somebody's got to put the neo in Neo-Colonialism ;-)
