Eat a lot of fish.

Omega 3 supps work wonders for that apparently.

An important acid is alpha-linolenic

low cholesterol is not that good a sign. You need cholesterol for digestion, and for anti-ox. it is a major fat handler and digestive aid.

Drugs like inositol hexanicotinate and pantethine will not lower cholesterol that is already low. They are modulators that stop at a certain point, and go no further. IH will increase cholesterol at least HDL. Taking CLA will sometimes increase cholesterol a tad too. Beneficially. I recommend taking COQ10 to increase liver enzymes. It is a good anti-oxidant as well. Sylimarin may help detoxify.

I suggest in increase in all B vitamins including the lipotropic factors. B vitamins may aid the nervous system function. Increase B1 - 100 mg, B6 - 100 mg, b12 - 2000 mcg, Folic acid - 5000 mcg, choline and inositol 500 mg each, magnesium 750 mgs.

Double b1 and b6 if you take the aminos below. Also take 30 mgs zinc. Most of these aminos are either in foods or the body makes them. However additional quantities have been found to be therapeutic by some physicians for a wide range of ailments.

Some aminos may help recovery. May interfere with some drugs. (MOA)

If you are hypotensive, these therapies should be modified.

L-Taurine -- 500 mg
Glutathione 1-3 gs
L-tyrosine - 500mg -- don't take with melanoma condition.
5-HTP - 300 mg
N-acetyl-cysteine - 1000 mg watch out if diabetic or on insulin.
-- also take it with vitamin C. (3 C to one cyst)
N-acetyl-carnitine 1000 mg
GABA - 20-40 mgs possibly more.
phenylalanine - 200 mgs
SAMe (sulf-adenosyl-methionine) 400 mg
Lysine -1.5g
Arginine -1.5g
glycine - 200 mg

phosphatidylcholine
and posphatidylserine may help.

Take with meals. See medical advice before embarking on amino program. NA or MD. Read Braverman, MD, Healing Nutrients Within

Also recommended are chondroitin sulfate, flavonoids, garlic, and anti-oxidants like maritime pine bark. Ginkgo Biloba has been known to help stroke victims recover. Take on physician's advice.
