I'm actually sitting right now at the Canadian border coming back from Ottawa, and you know, i've spent a lot oftime around Canada over the last few years and i've never seen the type of decay that we have in the States. Of course, i've never seen the type of opulence we have in the States either, but I'd much rather have fewer rich people if it meant having fewer poor people too.

Its the same in Europe......less opulence but fewer slums. That's why the rich in this country have worked overtime denigrating socialism. Its why they are so afraid of it. What pisses me off is that their wealth allows them to live in gated communities and avoid the downside of their position. Its the middle and lower classes that pay the price for their BS.

By the way, what the hell is going on in the States? It took me 15 minutes to get into Canada, and now i've been at the border for close to two hours and it looks like a have at least half an hour to go.

Oh that......CNN did a special last month on the northern border along MN, VT and NY......in their Keeping Them Honest segment. They showed where in some places there were no border guards.....and where there were, the guards were not very vigilant. Then there was the TB guy who slipped over the border in June. Soooooooooo:

WELCOME to AMERIKA!

I'm once again pretty happy I have a Blackberry!

Speaking of Blackberry, I have a ton in my new backyard. ;-)

Worst I have ever been treated was in customs at Sea-Tac. I can only imagine it has gotten worse.
