Hispanics know Gonzales is a crook too. The Hispanic vote and the youth vote are both lost to the GOP for a long time. Gonzales is from the far rightwing Hispanic tradition, the corrupt jefe type. He was Enron's lawyer in Texas and is a deeply dishonest man. Race doesn't matter. Any fool can see he's a lying crook who tried to cheat and lie to rip pages out of our Constitution and destroy them. And now he's lying to congress on a regular basis even though it's perfectly obvious he's lying. The strategy you see is that Bush is going to pardon all his crooked cronies. However, James Madison made it clear that there is only one kind of criminal presdiential pardons cannot be used for, and that is pardoning your pals for your own legal protection. In the end, Bush-Cheney are the real crooks. Gonzales is just one of their knights or rooks. The real fear of Bush-cheney is that Rove then cheney will be put on the hot seat. Both are deeply guilty of treason on allo kinds of levels. And they would be found guilty.
