GST, have you ever heard the old saying that it takes one enemy to breed a war, not two?

Israel has tried hard to reach peace. The Israelis want peace. Do the Pals want peace? Do you see any sign?

This is not an exercise in "blame", it is the fundamental step in diplomacy - understanding what the two sides REALLY want, which goals are essential to them, what are their red lines.

If you don't figure it out and guess right, your diplomacy will not only fail, it will blow up in your face. See: Clinton, Bill. Camp David & Taba.

Note well: real goals are often far removed from stated goals. Stated goals are often chosen for tactical reasons and do not represent real goals. Standard exmaple: Hitler claimed in the 1930s that uniting all German lands was his true goal. So please to give him the Sudetenland and Danzig, and he would be satisfied.

What are the REAL goals of the Palestinians? of Fatah? of Hamas?
