I think you meant to write the Palestinians bad situation following the expulsion of 80% of them from their homes in the ethnic cleansing of what would become Israel,

They were created by the war the Arab League chose to start and have been maintained ever since as an excuse. They are but a symptom of the animosity, not a cause.

If you want to do diplomacy, you must tell cause from side-effect. Fixing side effects will never get you a deal.
