Why is it that so few people want to even consider, discuss or offer any ideas for peace?

The Jewish people want Israel to remain Jewish, and for their non-Jewish neighbors just to leave them alone.

The non-Jewish neighbors want to live in the region where their ancestors lived and where the Israelis now live, even though 90%+ of them never actually lived there.

Taken independently both goals sounds sorta reasonable, but combined the two goals are incompatible, thus how can you expect peace?

The rest of us don't really care.

Personally I think the Israelis desire to live in an ethnically homogenous country is a backwards desire that should be losing its appeal as the world globalizes and ethnic-tribal societies get replaced by societies which reward individuals based on merit, not based on their tribe or the religion of their mother. And, I think the Palestinians desire to dedicate themselves more to the destruction of Israel rather than the education and welfare of their children is self-destructive lunacy. In sum, both of those little tribes suck, and I'd rather see the USA not involved in the racist-religious hatred that their ongoing warfare has produced. At one point they made the decision to separate from each other rather than live together as equals, so let them bear the burden of that poor decision. The American experiment shows that Jew-Muslim-Hindu-Christian-Atheist can all get along if they are equal under the law, even if they're all gay! The people of that region chose to separate, and separated violently, and they are still paying the cost of that separation. THEY don't want peace - they want to win.
