Re- subprimes I forget the name of the company- blank of America? - just wrote down a ton of "Alt-A" mortgages that the entire market just assured us- the credit contagion would NOT bleed down to. Prime aint prime no more. And subprime is beyond junk. The 'bomb' is Fannie & Freedie. If Bear Stearns can't even find buyers for much of their paper and what they can find buyers for- is only worth 30 cents on the dollar- what is Fannie & Freddie holding? Is the meltdown of Fannie/Freddie the next and final shoe to drop? Ron
