I did and said it first thing this morning. And its pollack and o'hanlen as well. Neither were optimists until their most recent visit to iraq. Columnist Joe Klein who is no conservatvie or neocon or bush fan said must the same thing after getting back from iraq last month.
Moving to politics, how dumb might dems look pushing withdrawl if it becomes apparent that this is working and more importantly, casualties among iraqis and particularly americans are going down dramatically. This could change everying for the presidential election

ohanlen/pollack oped made charly gibson tonite. talk of the town. Pols say its too late to matter because constituents want out of iraq now.
Progress in iraq is apparently a bad thing now. This may come back and bite dems at a later date.
