It's also because the unions have killed the auto industry and they are dying a slow death there in Detroit.

Michigan also is just not a very business friendly state. As Oral says, the unions have killed the goose that laid the golden egg. A lot of the auto companies have decided to locate plantes elsewhere (e.g., Saturn's plant in Tennessee, etc). As go the auto plants, so go the related suppliers.

Pensacola is trying to tax our 1200 sq ft condo at Pensacola Beach $8000 a year!

We pay $6000 a year in Atlanta for a 4000 sq ft house.
