That's about the best argument I've heard for why it's best for Intel if AMD stays in business. Anyone who buys the remaining assets will ditch the IC stuff and live off the IP stuff. Free money, right?

Then again, maybe a Intel can pay $1B per quarter for the royalties, and make several times that back for the remaining share of the market and/or stable ASPs.
