At least Stevens was fleecing his own home constituency. Have you followed the Bay Area Ed Jew story in SF? Vibe on the street is that they feel eve much more violated than the recent Gavin Newsom "Best Friend /&/ Campaign Manager's Wife" sex scandal. Ed's been voting a lot of money, taking a lot money, doing city kickback/bribe thing endemic to many local politik --- doesn't even live here -- most likely Taiwan, as it's becoming apparent. Nowhere near the 'hood, anyway. <g>

(although to be fair to Mr. Newsome, perhaps in SF having sex behind someone's back is not necessarily ...... news-worthy)

Our whole congressional delegation is now under a black cloud. Odds are growing that Democrats will capture at least one Alaska seat in 2008.
