All I have heard of was an enlargement of his residence by a contractor that gets a lot of federal work. Looking at the residence doesnt look like much to talk about. Stevens says he paid for the work. I think we ought to wait and see what develops before we crucify him. jdn

If the tens of thousands Stevens may have stolen are important, why aren't the millions that Boxer stole?

>>If Stevens is found guilty, any idea as to why the Dems or Repubs didn't find about it until now?<<

It's too soon to say about Ted. We need to see how this plays out.

But generally speaking, corruption is not an obvious crime like bank robbery. It rots away internally, until the weakened tree suddenly crashes to the ground in a wind storm.

Rather unbelievable that Stevens at the ripe age of 83 is just now being looked at by the FBI if Stevens is guilty of some heinous crime.

First Jefferson, now Stevens--------the others in Congress must quake in their boots at the possibility of some sort of raid or allegation. Once one has been in Congress to the age that Stevens is it would almost be nye impossible not to have something that could be examined.
