I still remember Elway's first year. He couldn't plant, he dropped back and danced. The coaches got all over him but it still took a large part of the season for him to figure out he couldn't throw bullets while his feet were dancing around. I'm hoping Cutler will get off to a fast, successful start. Most around these parts are glad Jake Plummer is out of here.

Didn't take long for the Mike Vick jokes to start up. When VIck's Falcons play at Soldier Field, which former Chicago sports stars will avoid the game? Blackhawks center Pit Martin and Bears' running back Ronnie Bull. Vick lost plenty of endorsement deals as a result of this indictment, but he did pick up a new one: He's going to be the spokesman for Chinese-made dog food. People are mad about this Michael Vick thing. Today, Bob Barker called for Vick to be spayed and neutered.
