While she was chairman of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee, she steered $billions in no bid business to her husband's companies. While she was chairman, her net worth went from $26 million to $99 million. She resigned from the committee when this became public but denied it had anything to do with scandal. Oh, and once she was no longer on the committee her husband sold his interest in the defense companies that benefitted from her "attention" for a gargantuan profit.
