Otherwise, It's sounds like just another Left-wing attack.

That's a valid point. Sort of.

Let me wander down memory lane for a brief moment. As you know, I was loud and clear before the invasion of Iraq that I thought it was a terrible idea and why. But once we were in, it was water under the bridge. There was no way to effect a do-over. So while I acknowledged whenever the question came up that I opposed this war and why, I haven't discussed the progress or lack of progress.

I haven't because I don't have any bright ideas of how to either win or extricate ourselves. I don't think anyone else does, either. I sure haven't heard any. The only choices left for any poster to offer are "stay the course," "get out," or "I told you so. I don't see any future in any of them. The first two are unlikely to have happy outcomes so they're not something about which I could generate any enthusiasm. The last, which I could validly assert, would be both unhelpful and tacky. So I don't say anything.

Negative assessments are easy. But if you do them, you owe us a possible solution.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect anyone here to come up with a possible solution. No one better positioned to do so than we are has come up with one. I strongly suspect that there isn't one. So posters either cheerlead or bitch depending on their support or displeasure with Bush. The bitching sans solution may sound like "just another left-wing attack" but it's unfair to expect a solution to go along with it. After all, the cheerleading doesn't come with a solution, either.
