They just got married less than a week ago, but they had to hire extra security because of threats from racists with short members. I think those racists should be publicly exposed ... literally. When was the last time you heard of a white couple having to hire security guards for their wedding as protection? And then you question whether there is white privilege in this society. Race and discrimination continue to play a very significant role in this society whether we want to cop to it or not. One of my relatives through marriage told me over the weekend that their family is all abuzz because one of the kids is dating a black guy. I started laughing when my in law asked me what was so funny; that the issue was a very serious one.
