I pointed out earlier this week that this limited success if lasting could lead to a shiaa state in the south and some sort of unified iraq including kurdistan, sunnis and shiaa in the reat of iraq. That might be a good thing to shoot for. No i am not in favor of giving the military open ended committments here. Just one day at a time and try to hold on to what you gain while also reducing the manpower needs. Hard road but better than chaos in sunniland/
