Steyn believes Europe is being overrun with Muslims and lacks the will to preserve their own culture. This stems from Muslim birthrates and European immigration policy. Fjordman tries to make his case that Europe can prevail. I don’t know how it will work out, but was happy to see a European writer show some backbone. Islam as I see it is totalitarian more so than other belief systems and none of their countries are fit to live in if you’re not Muslim.

But the reality is that with the notable exception of the Netherlands, Muslims constitute ten percent or less of the populations of other European nations. For an example, in Germany, Muslims make up only 3% of the population. By contract, Latinos and blacks make up nearly 30% of the American population.

When those facts are known, they make the author's concerns and fears look almost ludicrous IMO.
