That is your answer? There are only your two alternatives, Israel can be weak or Israel can crush its enemies? This is the logic of somebody who does not want peace.

No, that's the spot on classic time tested approach to peace. Completely destroy your enemy. Americans did it to the Indians, the Chinese are doing it to the Tibetans (Tibet is pretty damn peaceful). The problem for this approach for Israel is in the numbers - it's kind of hard for them to completely destroy 500 million non-Jewish neighbors without the rest of the world noticing.
