I refer you to a post by someone who on occassion hits it out of the park. Message 23512782 He has been quite correct in his thinking that gold is a sucker trade, leveraged to the hilt by folks who, like you, are mesmerized. Given the financial and political risk, why has gold undeperformed so badly? A serious question begging a serious answer. As the punch bowl of liquidity is drained, and I think it is being drained b/c it must be drained, the leveraged-to-the-hilt gold speculators are going to get killed. I hope you are not gold-leveraged.
