Very surreal and damned expensive. Where are the people who get upset about domestic spending? WHY aren't they screaming? I mean I don't like waste in domestic spending, but I figure heck, the spending employs Americans, and the money goes in to the American economy, and even though I'd rather programs ran well and efficiently, when they don't, the money pretty much stays here.

But the Iraqi war money? Ok, some of it is going to US contractors. But what about all the money seeping through cracks in Iraq? I wonder how much is finding its way to Swiss bank accounts for Iraqis who may be contemplating their exit from Iraq. There are going to be some fascinating corruption stories coming out of this war. It's going to make that UN scandal look like a grain of sand in a sand box.
