I don't know Nadine except to read her posts -- she is right about that. She always struck me as a smart person. What I lament is that she does not seem inclined to turn her talents and intelligence towards something more future oriented. To me, the views I hear from Nadine are defeatist views. She seems to say that it is pointless to seek peace. She seems to associate the idea of peace with decades of failure and nothing more. To ask her about peace in the future seems to set off in her mind thoughts of more future decades of failure. She does not want failure. She wants something else. I wish that something else was a new search for peace. But it seems that search is not for peace anymore, but rather for the kind of authority you get from defeating your enemies -- Israeli victory. And to her it seems the role of the US is to bankroll and arm Israel for its victory, and to provide every manner of encouragement with never a negative word. Those who don't support Israeli military objectives are enemies, Lefties, Jew haters, etc. -- there is no search for peace. Peace is dead.
