re: ["Everyone has known for some time that Paulson et al was planning to cause a market correction this summer."]

Wrong.

That is the last thing Paulson wanted, or needed.

#1. It puts tremendous pressure for trade legislation
against China - and Paulson does NOT want that.

#2. It puts tremendous political pressure on the Republicans.

#3. Given the collapse of housing, the present debt loads
on the US Consumer (with billions of adjustable mortgages
still yet to reset and default) stocks are the last bastion of wealth
and the key barometer for consumer confidence.

#4. While the Fed is printing money nilly-willy, they don't
really want to have to cut rates right now and unleash
unbridled inflation.

Paulson is in a box. One he is not too happy to be in.

And you guys are stuck thinking inside the box.

Step 1. Climb out of the box.
Step 2. Shake it up a bit.
Step 3. Step back and take a fresh look at the box.

You'll only get the right answers...
if you ask the right questions.

If you want to catch more fish - don't think like
a fisherman...instead think like a fish.

If you do that...you'd stop using bait that looks like
a lure...and instead use bait that looks like food.

Hint: STOP!-thinking like a trader and start thinking
like a moneychanger-manipulator.

Their gameplan has already been written...it's been floating
around for over a month.

That cover story on Barrons about "Where is The Little Guy?"
was a rally cry for those who see the "box" that Paulson's in
and follow this basic mantra:

"If you are ignorant of both your enemy and yourself,
then you are a fool and certain to be defeated in every battle."

(which applies to over 90% of all SI posters)

"If you know yourself, but not your enemy, for every
battle won, you will suffer a loss....(but,)

If you know your enemy and yourself, you will win every battle."
-- Sun Tzu

The key is to know your enemy.

And to do that...you need to start thinking like a fish
and not a fisherman.

More later...

Be patient...let them make their mistakes,
and sit back and watch them scramble to plug
all the holes in the dike.

The spin-doctors will be out in droves today.
