I share your desire to neuter OPEC and bankrupt the terrorists, but that's no justification for wishful thinking. What you are asking for is a revolutionary leap in technology. Even hybrids are an evolutionary step (though a rather significant one).

I think people should buy motorcycles and scooters as additional vehicles. It's should be an actual CRIME for a person to drive a Hummer or any other large vehicle commuting as a single occupant.

You can easily find a 100 mpg scooter or small motorcycle, right now
