A friend of mine started taking Body Balance for heartburn and reflux disease. She now doesn't need Prilosec anymore. HEr DR took her off it. Apparently, she had bad reflux and had trouble sleeping. She used 3 to 4 prilosec a day.

She found Body Balance through a chiropracter. It's in liquid form and is drinkable.

I haven't used it but it's another item that could be tried if all else fails.

It meant a lot to me as my roommate in college had a nervous breakdown.... and had to have Electro Shock treatments. She said they were absolutely HORRIBLE. Now, there is something that gives you a seizure...

NPR's Talk of the Nation had a piece on a week or so ago about electroshock therapy. The guest was Kitty Dukakis, who has found relief for her depression with electroshock therapy. Apparently, it is not what it once was.

If you have any interest, I suggest you listen to the interview.
