why is it that each time islam is questioned the rationalization points towards finding excuses in what others do or allegedly do? that is pathetic. islam cannot defend itself hence the need to resort to tangents to escape their conundrum. yes, the Bible contains things in the Old Testament that are questionable by our standards but the problem with islam is that the qu'oran does not allow for any interpretation or the slight possibility of evolution as our understanding of the languages increases. the qu'oran is a literal book and any attempt to interpret a literal word into something other than the literal meaning is considered blasphemy! the qu'oran calls for conquering the world for their religion and that is not open to interpretation. islam started, grew and will continue marching side by side with violence until they are forced to go through a reformation like Christianity did following the corrupt ages of the catholic church. Christianity evolved because it allows for the use of our thoughts and intelligence by placing the ultimate moral burden of our acts upon each and everyone of us. islam is about the collectivity, is the religious equivalent to the most extreme visions of political communism or facism. the moslem has to do what some iman says has to be done period. we are dealing with 13th century thinking and attitudes and we could hope for the time when some smarter generations wake up and realize that the world of mohammed is long gone but that will take plenty of our suffering at the hands of those extremists on that religion so the only real alternative is to eliminate the extremists like the terrorists they are and ban the entry of extremists imans in our society. not all moslems are terrorists that is true, but they are at odds, unable to truly criticize those who insist upon living in the 13th century, trapped in a 13th century book that was a fantasy created by a society lacking the sense of identity that jews and the west had at the time.
