As you might imagine, friendly fire incidents can get those doing the shooting in serious trouble....that would be the main and most logical reason the local commanders would send such a story up the line....

I hate to do it, but i agree with JLA on this. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

This administration is famous for propagandizing anything they can, Jessica Lynch and Pat Tillman are two good examples.

Whether Tillman was accidentally killed or murdered by our own, that's not a feel good story for America. So it's no surprise the administration would lie or let a false story go uncorrected that makes them look better than the truth would.
