Not sure about that.. Sunnis of the fundamental variety out of Saudi Arabia (founders and financiers) are not getting the kind of scrutiny they deserve because last 30 years a lot of what has happened can be placed at their doorstep as far as spread of intolerant strain in a lot of places..

Keep in mind also Shias are only 10 to 15% of the total muslims world wide so except for place like Iraq and Iran and handful of other smaller countries, don't have much power as such..
