True, Hillary doesn't need Obama to get the black vote or to get IL. Picking Richardson for veep would at least probably give her a state in play. If Edwards could carry his state (but we already know he can't) he'd be a possible choice. Mark Warner's another possible veep choice.

<i<she doesn't need him

I don't know that to be true. She certainly needs more than the black and hispanic vote to become president. Obama seems to have a good amount of support from the liberals. Look at his internet fund raising. He also has at least one-half of the entertainment industry. So I would not count him out as a VP should she win the democratic ticket.

While Richardson would be a good candidate for the hispanic and some SW vote, he is not 'presidential' AFAIC. His answers in the debates have become progressively less convincing. OTOH, he might be a good soldier and stay in his corner while she ran the country.

I believe she will choose someone who is strong in the South or someone who can bring the hispanic vote. That pretty much leaves Obama and Richardson from the present list.

Perhaps there will be an outsider like - BILL CLINTON. LOL
