I have not done it with jelly. I also never use any kind of butter substitute.

Slather on some good organic peanut butter. I like Adams or Laura Scudders. What ever you can get. Now the thing is, you get this from the store. Right! It is all oil on the top, lumpy rock hard stuff at the bottom.

I have an easy solution. Dump it into a bowl, steer, no cows involved, the stuff 'till it is smooth and and creamy.

Once that is done you got the pb in the middle of the bread, the pan is hot and you are frying with butter, or olive oil, or peanut oil.

Now dump it back in the original container. Put that jar in the fridge. Now you are ready to go. Bagels, celery, and sandwiches.

I saw something really weird about fried bologna and pb sandwiches. Whatever rocks your world.
