But apparently you don't know you don't know this- since you are willing to state it didn't affect this issue at all- categorically, apparently.

I'm pretty comfortable saying there is no connection between the war and the bridge. Unless you are talking ephemeral "butterfly" type effects - i.e. where a butterfly in Kansas can set off a typhoon in the South China Sea or something silly like that. We know domestic transportation spending hasn't been slashed to pay for missiles used in Iraq because we're still building silly things like light rail systems and bridges to Alaskan islands no one lives on, etc.

But maybe you know of some examples of where transportation spending has been cut to pay for the war? I'd like to hear about any such examples of transportation cuts related to the war because then I'd think you might have a logical reason supporting your position.

I think it has driven liberals nuts. So maybe if you're saying liberals in government are crazed enough to neglect their jobs .... that might be plausible.
