Pakistan has nukes and I’ve heard rumors that Saudi Arabia has its refineries rigged to explode if attacked. I kind of think we want some front row seats to enforce our energy policy. * * *

I cant agree. IMHO you are confusing the acts of the people with the Government. In SA they are plagued by FANATICS that have to be placated by the Govt. to keep the Royalty in power. In Pakistan the religious fanatics also have great powers that cannot be ignored but in both cases THE GOVERNMENTS are friendly to USA. For instance HOW IN THE HELL do you think we get INTO AFGHANISTAN a land locked country? You think we went in through IRAN, heck no, through PAKISTAN with THEIR GOVT. PERMISSION. If we cause either govt to fall we will be in DEEP DOO DOO. jdn
