as to never mind market perception you miss the point.....one must try to be aware of how the market is percieved and when that perception diverges from the reality. Well sure, but the difference you care most about is the price. You don't want to get caught up in whatever siren song market perception is singing about the company if you think it should have a PE of 12 and it has PE of 100. I told some of my friends it was a mania too. Some listened, some didn't.
