It's promoted by Liberals and opposed by Libertarians/Conservatives. Might have been so a few years ago, not today. That the obscure web site you linked tried to misrepresent the Scientific Americans position on global warming does suggest there are still a holdout among some conservatives though. This weeks issue of NewScientist with the lead article; "Goodbye Miami" is an interesting read with dire predictions. ........It is always hard to accept change, it was in convincing people that the world was round or that leaches weren't the best medicine or that smoking led to cancer - but gradually one by one people will accept science. Science is speaking, and all the hope from people unwilling to acknowledge change will not keep global warming from happening. steve
