carranza2, we are in basic and broad agreement, though details and antidotes may differ.

<<the rumbling in The Force we detected has become a deafening roar>>

... most invigorating, and promises many deeply research and well written books for future summer reads.

<<The US markets horrible day Friday presages something not good>>

... cleansing is to be welcomed, and opportunities to be embraced. It is all good, and getting better.

<<Perhaps a good time to take profits, monetize>>

... no arguments there. Dial 1.800.GET.ME.OUT and punch in 1.900.GO.TO.CASH

<<On Monday, a speeding locomotive will run over the tied-to-the-rails clueless investor, the drunk-on-leverage Master of The Universe hedgie, and every other hanger-on who didn't close his eyes, clear his mind, and tune in to TF>>

... stop talking sexy.

<<My prosaic, pedestrian question is this: As this baking mini-teotwawki presents tremendous opportunities to the Chinese, do you think they will use their dollar reserves to prop up American credit markets and thus keep their own markets from taking a substantial hit from the locomotive?>>

... doubtful, for the electorates are already grumbling regarding Blackstone on this side of the Pacific pond and the Pols are busy committing trade war suicide on your side. What must be shall be, per timeless script and forever drama. Nothing suspenseful and unexpected has yet taken place and none will.

<<The question points out the nature of the Sino-US relationship. We are wary partners, rivals sometimes, but tied to each other whether we like it or not>>

I suspect you must eventually T-up Taiwan, even as its bank is 1/3 stuffed with three alphabet monetary poison originating from your shores and beyond rescue; and at some point give up the ghost of setting sun Japan, even as it may perhaps attempt a last rescue before its currency rises to 79:1 relative to the USD per replay of spike not so long past.

Putting certain twigs such as Philippines, Indonesia etc in China's path did not work well before, and placing alledged logs such as Australia and Japan will not likely do better.

The true mean will not be denied, especially not by the spendthrift.

It is Sunday here, and I am being almost religious :0)

P.s. Russia has claimed the N.Pole. Do you perhaps feel that you may need more strategic partners than competitors?

P.p.s. change tunes, CB ilaine, for Russia is your friend as satellite fly by wings and as debt does not matter and as currency values are meaningless
