We shouldn't bind ourselves from defending the nation due to imaginary worries about "our freedoms" Yup you hit on it. Some people think we need to protect America here - by checking containers and stopping illegal immigration for instance. I believe in that. Some people think we should <have> concentrate our efforts to fight those who attacked us - bin Laden in Afghanistan for instance. I believe in that. Some people think that by taking our eye off the real enemy we have let down our best defense - that we are making terrorist faster than we are killing them in Iraq. I believe that. ........ You trust government to do what is right - I always at a least question government. Doesn't make a difference whether it is a democratic government or republican government. You should too. You do know that the powers granted to Bush today will be inherited by the next president. You want to bet your freedoms on Hillary? I don't. steve
